The following are plates from the 1833 edition of the French book, Voyage de la Corvette l'Astrolabe, Execute Pendant les Annees 1826, 1827, 1828, 1829, sous le Commandement de M. Jules Dumont d'Urville, Capitaine de Vaissean. This volume was published in Paris for J. Tastu, the editor and was written by the Captain, Dumont, who was charged by the French government to report on his travels.
